Situated in the CBD of Masterton is the Masterton Art Club (MAC). MAC has been in existence since its conception in 1921 by nine women, when it was formed as a ‘sketch club’ whose aim was to promote the study and practice of fine Arts in the Wairarapa.
Fast forward to today, we have a lively membership of over 60, covering a wide range of art practices, including painting, drawing, textile art, pastel groups, mixed media and book art, as well as printmaking. MAC is a place for local artists to meet regularly and enjoy our collective love of art and creating. Our club provides a welcoming and supportive environment for artists of all levels to come together and express their creativity. We offer a range of activities, workshops, and events to inspire and nurture artistic talents within our community.
We look forward to welcoming you into our workshop/gallery space during the Wairarapa Arts Trail 2025. There will be some fun art activities for you to try!
