Masterton Art Club (MAC) is a long-standing art organisation based in the heart of Masterton. Established in 1921 by nine women as a sketch club, it was founded to promote the study and practice of arts in the Wairarapa.
Today, MAC is a vibrant club with over 70 members working across a wide range of mediums, including painting, drawing, textile art, pastel, mixed media, book art, and printmaking. The club provides a welcoming and supportive environment where artists of all levels can meet regularly, share ideas, and develop their practice.
Through a programme of activities, workshops, and events, MAC continues to foster creativity and nurture artistic talent within the community. It also opens its studio and gallery space to the public during events such as the Wairarapa Arts Trail.
