I hold a Diploma in Creativity from the Learning Connexion in Lower Hutt. During my time studying, I discovered a passion for printmaking. I also enjoy working with ink, watercolours and painting in oils.
I love to create designs incorporating botanicals and native flora and fauna. My work often includes hints of New Zealand’s cultural influences and landscape.
The printmaking process involves making design ‘plates’ which are then hand printed through my printing press using relief and intaglio printing methods. Printmaking requires you to be both considered and methodical; you must slow down and contemplate your intent.
Simple yet elegant, thoughtful, organic and often transparent.
I am a member of the Print Council Aotearoa, New Zealand, and have been a Guest Artist at Greytown Art Gallery from April to June, and will be again from October. I also have work displayed at Kotare Gallery in Greytown and am often at the Stallkeeper’s Market in Greytown.
I am featured in Proof, a recently published book from the Print Council Aotearoa New Zealand, featuring printmakers in New Zealand.

Sharing the open studio with Annie is Simon King & Jenny Merton
